Not to mention, the killer whale problem at Wrightsville is way out of hand. Fortunately for Pleasure Island, we only have fun loving porpoises.

Re the plural of octopus, the grammar gurus state that the correct term is octopodes but that octopuses is also correct and most commonly used. Interesting research on that one--the plural term is based on ocotopus being of Greek origin as opposed to Latin. There are several at length discussions on the topic but this one was by far the most succinct.

I understand they not only chum the waters of Wrightsville, but that the ocean there is chock full of Octupi...they are a menace, and people would do well to choose CB and KB as much safer vacation destinations...
