Star News: Visitors to area state parks were 10 percent of N.C. total in 2012

Visitors to three state parks in Southeastern North Carolina accounted for more than 10 percent of park attendance statewide last year, a slight increase from 2011, according to data from the N.C. Division of Parks and Recreation.
