WECT reports that a historical plaque has been added to the gazebo located
at the Fort Fisher rocks. The plaque is dedicated to the Civil War blockade
runner, the Modern Greece.
When reading the plaque you can look out over the
water and see where the ship still sits roughly 300 yards off the beach.
