Here are a couple of interesting videos from North Carolina featuring some unusual nature encounters from the Atlantic.
The first video was taken on March 18th, 2011 and features a group of fisherman who were fishing for tuna off Oregon Inlet, NC and ended up attracting a pod of Killer Whales (Orcas). The second video was taken at Fort Macon State Park, NC on March 17th of 2009 and features a Harbor seal that had wandered up on the shore for a day of sunning. And speaking of seals, last year there were several reports of Harp seals coming ashore on Carolina beaches. Harp seals are typically only found in the Arctic region.
So now we wonder, what will the 2012 winter bring for North Carolina?
