2011 Toys for Tots Information for Pleasure Island, NC

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

Here is a list of the toy collection sites on Pleasure Island to drop off your unwrapped gifts:

•Bank of America

•Carolina Beach Elementary School
•Domino's Pizza
Fort Fisher Museum
•Island Bait and Tackle
Kure Beach Town Hall
•Lazy Pirate Sports Bar & Grill
•Maxway
•Walgreens

On Saturday, December 10, 2011, from 10am to 2pm, there will be a "Toys for Tots" Tennis Mixer at Joe Eakes Park in Kure Beach. The entry fee will be a toy for the "Toys for Tots." Even if you don't play tennis, please stop by and donate a toy for this most worthy cause. A collection bin will be at the park for the event. For more information, please click here.

For additional toy drop locations throughout Wilmington or to learn how to donate on-line, please visit the Marine Corp's Toys for Tots
