Children's Drama Classes at the Carolina Beach Recreation Center

Kim Henry is a recent transplant to the island having moved here from Spain with her husband and two children. Starting in October, she will be teaching children's drama classes at the Carolina Beach Recreation Center.

Also, enroll now to be apart of the 2011 Christmas show.

The current schedule is as follows:
•Mon, Oct 3rd - 4:30-5:30 Ages 7-12•Thu, Oct 6th - 4:00-5:00 Ages 3-6

4:30 - 6:00 AGE 7-UP
4:00-5:00 AGE 3-6

About Kim: Kim Henry (BA hon­ors degree in Drama, Man­ches­ter Uni­ver­sity, UK) has been run­ning com­mu­nity and children’s drama projects around the world for over fif­teen years. Born in the UK, Kim’s work has taken her to Bosn­ian refugee camps, schools in India and to Inter­na­tional The­atre Fes­ti­vals through­out Europe. She has worked in schools, Young Offend­ers Insti­tutes and with chil­dren from many dif­fer­ent back­grounds. She fuses her love of the­atre, dance and music in order to nur­ture the cre­ative process, self expres­sion and self confidence.

About the LUV2ACT program:
LUV2ACT was born in 2003 in the moun­tains of South­ern Spain where Kim lived with her hus­band and 2 chil­dren on an organic olive farm. Through­out the last nine years, LUV2ACT has pro­duced up to 3 shows a year with lit­er­ally hun­dreds of dif­fer­ent chil­dren from all walks of life. LUV2ACT has also pro­duced 3 short films, scripted plays and taken part in the­atre fes­ti­vals across Europe. Luv2Act likes to use recy­cled and reclaimed mate­ri­als for their cos­tumes and sets as a reflec­tion of their con­scious ideals!
