This morning at around 6:15am, Mary Davis, who was out for her daily morning walk looking for shark's teeth, came across a lot more than just teeth. This morning she stumbled across an entire shark near the M Ave. beach access.
The blacktip shark had been caught by a fisherman overnight and it appears that it sustained major injury during the catch and evidently, died from those injuries. Typically speaking, most sport shark fisherman in this area practice catch and release.
Mary notified local authorities and the shark was removed from the beach by town personnel.
