A call from a writer for a boating publication was just what the town of Carolina Beach wanted as a result of its plans for a mooring field in Myrtle Grove Sound.
Town Manager Tim Owens said boating guides had advised boaters to avoid Carolina Beach in the past because of a lack of marine facilities.
The mooring field is expected be one of the first in North Carolina...and is expected to open at the end of this summer.
