Join this annual cruise along the lower Cape Fear River and get a close-up look at amazing Audubon Bird Sanctuaries where hundreds of birds nest every spring and summer. This is a rare opportunity to see large flocks of nesting coastal birds in action. Bring your camera and binoculars as you'll have the chance to see nesting colonies of White Ibis, Great Egrets and Herons.

Guides on the cruise include Dr. James Parnell, retired Professor Emeritus of Biology from UNC-W and Walker Golder and Andy Wood with Audubon North Carolina.

Pack a picnic lunch if you would like. Soft drinks and water will be sold aboard ship.

You can buy tickets at Wild Bird & Garden, 3501 Oleander Dr., Hanover Center (910)343-6001 or you can mail a check, payable to "Cape Fear Garden Club" to:
