1st Annual Panacea Paddle on June 4, 2011 in Carolina Beach, NC

On June 4, 2011, Panacea Adventures, together with The Great Outdoor Provision Company, Surf House Café, Coastal Urge and others, invite the community to the Panacea Paddle. This will be a day long festival with live music, paddling competitions, and good food. The event will raise money for special needs populations to enjoy multi-day wilderness programs free of charge.

Elite Class includes: Single Sea Kayaks and Stand Up Paddleboards (SUP).
Recreational Class includes: Single & Tandem Kayaks, Canoe and SUP.
Both recreational and elite classes will accommodate varying skill levels

Festival and paddle launch will be at the Carolina Beach Marina behind Tangerine's Caribbean Grill on Carl Winner.

Race Day Registration: begins at 8:00 AM
Elite SUP Race Time: 9:00 AM
Elite Kayak Race Time: 10:45 AM
Recreation Race Time: 12:15 PM

Entrance fees for Paddling Competition(s) are:
•$40 Individual Recreational, ($50 day of)
•$70 Tandem Recreational, ($80 day of)
•$90 Elite Racers ($100 day of)
Fee includes: Panacea Paddle racing jersey (long sleeve rash guard) or Panacea Paddle t-shirt.

CASH PURSE for Elite Class. PRIZES for best costume, best team spirit and best outfitted boast for Recreational Class.

This event is open for all abilities. If you have a special physical need and are interested in participating in the race we will do our best to accommodate you. Panacea Adventures will have a fleet of SUP and kayaks available the day of the race, please note if you need an outfitted boat on the registration form below. Also, if you are interested in having a "Paddle Buddy" to help with any aspect of the race please make sure to request a "Paddle Buddy" on the same registration form.

Liability form will be signed day of event. Kayaks and paddle boards are available on a first come first serve basis. Early registration will help secure equipment if you need it. Any participant under the age of 14 is required to be accompanied by an adult. K-1 and surf boats are not allowed in the Elite Class Kayak Race.
