With the announcement this afternoon that New Hanover county was under a Winter Weather Advisory for tomorrow morning (light snow/ice in the a.m. but changing to rain by early afternoon), it seemed like a good idea to head out to Fort Fisher to catch a sunset and enjoy the beach. And although it was quite cold with temps falling into the mid 30's, we did come across a pod of dolphins enjoying the last bit of the day's sunshine.
As for the sunset, the clouds really began to build and the sun ended up tucked behind a heavy winter blanket. But at least I did get one early shot facing towards Southport that had a bit of color in it.
Maybe tomorrow we'll get a few Island snow photos ;-)
