How Long Does the Ocean Temp at Carolina Beach Stay Above 70 Degrees?

You know? I just don't have a clue. But I know it is a question on some visitors minds...until what month can they come to Carolina Beach and still enjoy a swim in the ocean?

Assuming that most people can somewhat comfortably tolerate 70 degree water, we'll keep track on a daily basis until we hit that mark.

Come next Spring, we'll start another post and track upwards as we approach the 70 degree water temperature mark.

Great blog here! I've really enjoyed reading over the posts and will visit this site regularly. Is this blog connected with the Chamber of Commerce?

Thanks Christy. The blog is not connected with the Chamber or any tourist/realtor organizations on the island.

It was started for the purpose of sharing some of the wonderful things happening here on Carolina Beach and on Pleasure Island.

Think of the blog as your chatty next door neighbor ;-)

Thanks again for the nice comments.

I surf, and usually go in just board shorts until the end of October. Then I'll wear a wetsuit top for a few weeks, then it is full suit season. Then in the spring we wear full suits at least through April.

Thanks James, that sure is a good guide for the seasonal water temps.
