Carolina Beach Boardwalk Amusement Park Opens Today

[EDIT: Effective September 7, 2009, the amusement park is closed for the season.]

Last evening, I strolled over to the boardwalk to catch the official kick-off of the Boardwalk Blast and to see how the amusement park set-up was coming along. As you can see from these couple photos, everything has come together nicely and the boardwalk kick-off celebration was a big success as the area was filled with families having a good time. The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the amusement park will take place this afternoon at 4 p.m.

Don't forget, tonight is the free concert at the Gazebo featuring NC's own Mojo Collins from 6:30 to 9:30pm.

Details on the amusement rides:
•Tickets are $1.50 each
•Rides cost two to three tickets
•All-day pass is $25
Open:
•Seven days a week
•10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday
•10 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday

The CB Visitor Bureau has it listed on their website as a coupon link so you should be able to just print it and take it to the ticket booth. Thanks for stopping by!

Are these coupons good for this summer or were they only good for Memorial Day?

The coupons are good for the entire summer.

The 2009 coupons are no longer valid at the park. Please see the updated link for 2010 coupons @ http://www.pleasureislandvacationguide.com/coupons/amusements.pdf.

Do you have to pay to enter the park and for rides? Or is the all day pass for entrance fee and rides?

The rides are peppered throughout the boardwalk area so everything is free. You only pay if you choose to ride...either per ride or you can buy a day pass.
