Carolina Beach's Newest Restaurant, Havana's, Opens Tonight (Review)

([EDIT: March 6th] -- My wife and I had the chance to try them out last night and the food was fantastic. We started with Calamari and for our main course, I had the Skillet Seared Duck and my wife had the Blue Crab Cakes. Accompanying our meal was a bottle of Benton Lane Pinot (not my favorite Willamette Pinot-next time, we'll go with the J. Lohr Cab) and we ended the evening with their Rasberry Cheesecake.

My review of the place is simple: Go now, you will not be disappointed!

PS. Our server Amber was wonderful and she really added to the entire dining experience.

I just learned that Havana's Restaurant will be opening for dinner today at 4:00pm. So make sure to free up some time in the next couple days and welcome this new business to Carolina Beach. Their menu is diverse so you should have no problem finding something that interest you.

Thank you to Pete Donat for bringing his restaurant expertise to the island and for bringing the Cottage back to life. Hopefully, this is the beginning of a new and prosperous era for Pete and the property...and of course the rest of us get a new upscale dining option on the island.

Hours of Operation: (Effective today)
•Sunday - Thursday 4:00 pm - 11:00 pm
•Friday & Saturday 4:00 pm - 1:00 am
